MEET YOUR TAILOR

Bring us your garment. We'll make it fit.

We work with each piece by hand in Toronto, using traditional methods and modern precision. From a quick hem to a full suit recut, we take the time to get it right.

Our story

How did a Toronto tailor start working with a single needle?

We learned to trade on a vintage machine in a small shop. When that shop closed, We opened our own. PRIMESTITCH TAILORING has been stitching for Toronto ever since.

THE CRAFT BEHIND THE STITCH

How we think about every seam and hem

A garment is not a series of measurements. It is a conversation between fabric, form, and the person who wears it. Here is how we approach that conversation in Toronto.

01

Feel the fabric first

We run our hands over every piece. The weight, the weave, the way it drapes — it tells us how it wants to be cut.

02

Pin it, don't guess it

No measuring tape alone tells the full story. We pin the garment on you first, then adjust the seam one stitch at a time.

03

Hand finish where it matters

Machine stitching is fast. Hand stitching on a lapel or a hem is what makes the garment sit right and last years longer.

04

Shape follows bone

A shoulder line follows your actual shoulder. A jacket waist mirrors your frame. We adjust the structure, not just the length.

05

One piece, one person

We work on each garment start to finish. No assembly line. One set of eyes on the fit from first pin to final press.
